Welcome everyone to my second Icon of the Week issue. I chose Kate Moss because I am not only such a huge fan but find her to be such a unique and powerful force in the fashion industry, from her modeling career to her great style and to becoming a successful businesswoman. I hope you enjoy this and the many more to come...♥️

Katherine Ann Moss was born on January 16th, 1974 in Croydon, England.

In 1988, Moss was discovered at age 14 by founder of Storm Management (modeling agency), Sarah Doukas, at JFK Airport.

Kate was signed with Storm soon after meeting Doukas.

The fashion industry started to take notice of Kate after she was photographed by Corrine Day for The Face magazine in 1990.

After this project, her career started to take off...

A couple years later, the 5'7" model signed a contract with Calvin Klein and would cover numerous campaigns with them throughout her career.

Kate Moss made her runway debut at the Spring 1992 Dolce & Gabbana show.

Moss scored her first Vogue cover in 1993. It was for the March issue of British Vogue, photographed by Corrine Day.

During the 90's, Kate walked for many top labels including Chanel, Versace, Prada, Calvin Klein, YSL, Isaac Mizrahi, Vivienne Westwood, Helmut Lang, Anna Sui, Gucci, Dior and more.

Kate Moss has also graced the cover of more than 300 magazines.

She has covered campaigns with well-known brands like Stuart Weitzman, Calvin Klein, Versace, Chanel, Rag & Bone, Burberry, Reserved, YSL, Zadig & Voltaire, Coach, Skims, and many more.

In 2001, Moss became the face of Rimmel London and worked with them for 15 years. She even created a lipstick collection with them which debuted in 2011.

On September 29th 2002, Kate Moss gave birth to daughter Lila Grace Moss in London,UK.

In June of 2005, Moss received the Fashion Icon Award at the CFDA awards.

Kate Moss teamed up with Topshop in 2007 and designed a fashion collection which was sold in 20 different countries.

In 2013, Kate became a contributing editor to British Vogue.

Moss launched her own talent agency called KateMossAgency in September of 2016. She has models and artists like Lila Moss, Jordan Barret, and Rita Ora signed to her agency.

In 2020, Kate Moss and Valerié Messika, founder of jewelry brand, Messika, launched a collection together.

Last year, Moss become one of the newest faces of Charlotte Tilbury's latest makeup campaigns.

Ms. Moss launched her own beauty & wellness brand called Cosmoss in the fall of 2022. Her line features all things skincare, mists, and teas.

Before I conclude this Icon of the Week, I couldn't forget to mention how much of a style icon Kate Moss was and remains, from her street-style looks to the glamorous events she's attended.
